Spring has surely arrived and my Chives tell me so. They are setting flower blooms! š Today was the first time I did any real digging and pulling. I walk around outside and did a little Spring cleaning. Just cutting some old dead stems from last year and turning the soil in places I will be sticking a plant in. My space is really limited so I organize where I will put each and every plant.
The herbs are some of the first plants to start leafing out. There's regular oregano in the picture below. Which I harvest throughout the growing season. I usually dry the leaves and put them in a jar them. It's a wonderful seasoning and taste great added to sauces and other recipes.
Greek Oregano is leafing out.
Thyme - This plant is very mature and a few years old. It has woody stems and drops many seeds and babies pop up. Sometimes I transplant them in pots to give away.
Lavender coming back to life!
